Hola Community Arts is building bridges between cultures, embracing diversity and creating more economically vibrant communities. We recognize the power of the arts to challenge and shift perceptions, spark creativity and connect people across cultures.
Hola Community Arts International Festivals are making a lasting and direct impact throughout western North Carolina by celebrating cultural diversity with related educational and outreach activities
Hola Carolina Magazine will serve as a key element in the organization’s overall outreach and marketing campaigns. In doing so, the magazine adds tangibility to the faces and narratives of Latino people — establishing a genuine, heartfelt connection and engaging readers on an emotional level that would otherwise be difficult.
We are all connected by our stories, our memories, our history, our dreams, our country, our experiences. Our stories are power. Hola Community Arts believes that the art of sharing personal stories is the most important tool in order to create the changes we wish to see in the journey for social progress.
Latinos love to passionately tell our stories and share our rich cultures and traditions with people of all ages. And while sharing our stories, it allows us to learn even more about ourselves and how we can best weave ourselves into the communities where we live.
We believe that all people need and deserve the beauty, joy, and connections that the arts provide and inspire. When we celebrate the arts, we foster personal growth and inspiration; we create more vibrant neighborhoods, overcome societal challenges, our children become more well-rounded and successful, and our economy expands exponentially.
I’ve said before that we have a responsibility as well as an opportunity not to be bystanders, but to act in ways that contribute to the vibrancy of the communities where we live and work.
Please join me in helping our community Come Together to support and connect with one another. When it comes to creating positive change, it takes a village, and your partnership is a powerful way to Build Better Communities Together.
